Happy New Year, and the new EP is out!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday season this year. Further I’m looking forward to 2023. I have some art projects cooking and am enjoying sharing the new EP Broken Picture Wheel, which can be found on your favorite streaming service. I do have physical cds for those that want to buy from me direct, either online through my website or at a show sometime this year. And I have to add that I love what Bridget Couch created for the cover art, layout and CD.

The liner notes for this new EP says:

“This record was conceived and written in Chicago, IL during 2020. This is a collection of songs that resulted from much loss, refection, growth and healing during this time. This EP is dedicated to the memory of Ellen Surgener, a friend and lifelong supporter of music.”

For Broken Picture Wheel, I worked with my old band mate and longtime musical comrade and producer, Chet Surgener. We recorded at Earthtone Analog Studios in Corydon, IN. The project was mixed and mastered with Dave Chale at Deadbird studios in Louisville, KY. The musicians on this project are a number of longtime and new musical friends. The musicians are: Owen Reynolds on upright bass; Chet Surgener on drums & percussion; Sarah Breit on harmony and vocal arrangement; Stephen Couch playing lead guitar, tres and slide resonator; Steve Sturgill harmony vocals, organ, pump organ & slide guitar on Roll Um Easy*; Curtis Wilson on banjo; Desiree Thayer and Alex Owens singing back up on Roll Um Easy; Mike Hood on keys for Roll Um Easy; and Joe Easley playing bass on Roll Um Easy. Which is a great slice of the steady Louisville, Kentucky music scene. I was honored to have such a great crew of folks to play on this project.

*Roll Um Easy was written by Lowell George

Once again, thank you for the continued support! Happy New Year 2023! Cheers, and may this year be the best one yet. I wish everyone finds their favorite new album and see their favorite bands this year. From my home to yours’.

Sincerely,

Eddy
